On 14 July 2015, after a journey of over nine years, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft reached the dwarf planet Pluto. A graphical guide to the historic mission in Nature included a print infographic spread and two short animations, one explaining Pluto and Charon’s rotation and second one showing size comparisons and the distance travelled by the probe.
