The idea for a book about traditional photography comes from my own experience at the Art Academy in Krakow. Photography was one of the compulsory courses at my first year and with time I became quite involved with this subject.

Today many people prefer to choose digital cameras which seem to be more convenient than analog. However, the film has been having a comeback recently. Many photographers enjoy the look of a grainy analog film and many people also say they enjoy the experience of shooting old cameras and waiting for their films to be developed. I also found out that a lot of professionals are still using film for various purposes. Despite all this, most of the modern publications focus exclusively on digital photography and don’t provide any manuals for film enthusiasts. These can be found either online or in older handbooks.
